As a Graphic Designer, taking on the challenge of creating the branding for Applewise Bakery excited me from the start. The brand's Scottish heritage, renowned apple pies, and family ties with the tartan offered a rich tapestry of inspiration to explore. However, it also presented me with a creative conundrum - with so many possible directions to take, how could I capture the essence of Applewise Bakery in a visually compelling and cohesive way?

After careful consideration, I decided to embrace the philosophy of "less is more" and opt for a simple yet impactful approach. The key was to create a logo that instantly communicated the essence of the brand and evoked a sense of familiarity and authenticity. That's when the idea struck me - combining the iconic pattern found on top of an apple pie with the MacLeod tartan.

In the end, I am delighted with the outcome of this branding journey.
