The award-winning project I created for the "Embracing Diversity" campaign involved developing an integrated advertising campaign that would be effective across three different posters. My concept revolved around a student's morning routine before leaving for college, using a simple yet powerful checklist to communicate the importance of inclusivity and diversity. The checklist featured the check mark glyph to signify the items the student would typically check off their list, such as

Phone ✓
Keys ✓
Racism X
Wallet ✓

However, instead of simply checking off the word "Racism", the box was marked with an ✕, emphasizing the need to eliminate all forms of discrimination from the student's life.

The keyword 'racism' in the checklist was interchangeable with other forms of discrimination, such as ageism and homophobia. By using a relatable concept, I was able to convey a strong message about the importance of inclusivity and diversity in our everyday lives. This project demonstrated my ability to use design to communicate complex ideas and to create visual solutions that resonate with audiences.
